This painting is a commission by a group of people who were looking for a birthday gift to a friend. I didn’t know who he was, so they set up a dinner to introduce us. He had just bought a house, so the painting would also be a kind of housewarming gift.
He knew the subject would be an animal, and in addition to his favorite colors, I also asked him what animal he wanted. At first, he was undecided between a feline, a shark and a hawk – earth, water, air. Then he chose earth.
He had given me the impression of a calm and kind person, someone who thinks before he acts or speaks. The result was this cougar, and this title.
