This painting is inspired by the book “We will not be saved” by Nemonte Nenquimo and Mitch Anderson. Reading the book made my heart rattle, made me cry, smile, and moved me like few others. It is a touching story, tragic yet hopeful, and so powerful that it is impossible to be summarized, but I strongly recommend you read it, whoever you are.
